Adela and her Jewish family were given two opportunities to flee Nazi rule. However, they chose to stay in Łódź, Poland. Eventually the Nazis forced her family into concentration camps. Adela was liberated in 1945 by a special tank battalion named The Black Panthers. Thanks to these brave soldiers, Adela later found a wonderful husband and would go on to lead a full life with a beautiful family.
